I found a lump in my breast during a shower. I made an appointment with my gp as soon as I found it and was referred to the breast clinic at my local hospital to have a biopsy. I had my biopsy and during it the man doing it said he was confident it wasn’t cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer the following month in January 2024. I had found out I was pregnant in December, a few weeks before.

I had 12 rounds of chemotherapy whilst pregnant and when I didn’t respond to that and it spread to my lymph nodes – I had a left side mastectomy at 31 weeks pregnant. I was told that my daughter could be born during the surgery so took a baby bag in too. She was born the following month via a planned c section. I continued my treatment 2 months after her birth and had 4 rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. When I lost my hair I was absolutely devastated- but love my new look a bald baddie! lol

I’m currently taking each day as it comes and enjoying my now 6 month old perfect miracle baby! 😊
